I am a first time listener.
I am supprised by the tone that Edward is using in the show. It sounded like other people in the show are his servants.

Edward, I enjoy your podcasts. The unedited raw format is like hanging out with friends. However, Tadd’s dog joke really grossed me out and I wish you edited that out.
Anyway, on the topic of Windows Mobile, I want to talk about screen size. Devices like the HTC Diamond are pretty and cool but how useful are they? When I think about that tiny screen I doubt if you could get much work done on it.
Yes, I said work. I use Word and Excel for notes and timekeeping on my Windows Mobile device. Inside a waterproof Otterbox, it mounts to my motorcycle for navigation and music. With a WiFi hot spot, I surf the web, send emails, find things with Windows Live and Google Maps, & watch You Tube videos & movies. With a Bluetooth keyboard, I write long letters (like this one).
I don’t own a laptop & thanks to my Windows Mobile device, I don’t need one. I like to travel light and my Windows Mobile device is always on my belt. Sometimes I carry the Bluetooth keyboard in my pocket too. It works for me. But if I could not see the screen, I could not use Windows Mobile instead of a laptop. This brings me back to the original topic of screen size.
From examining smartphones in the stores, the screens are much smaller than my device and they run much slower than my device. Why wouldn’t a modern Windows Mobile device be faster than my old Dell Axim X51v? Which smartphones have a VGA screen as large? Which ones have fast processors and graphics accelerators like my four year old Dell?
The only phone that meets the standards of my old Dell Axim is the HTC Advantage 7510. I know you think it’s too large but keep in mind that some of us think the rest of the phones are just too darn small. I have not had a chance to hold the Advantage and I worry that it might be too large. Still, I am sure that I would rather have too large than too small.
When Tadd annoys you by carrying on too long about the Advantage, I’m cheering him on.
Edward, if you ever interview the CEO of HTC again, please ask a question for me. Ask him if I can order the Diamond in an extra-large size.
P.S. I wrote and submitted this message using only my Windows Mobile device.
