As senior vice president of the Mobile and Embedded Devices Division and Communications Sector Business (MED & CS) at Microsoft Corp., Pieter Knook is responsible for the development, marketing and sales of software that powers a wide variety of devices such as mobile phones, personal digital assistants, portable media players, televisions and devices in cars. Pieter also is responsible for Microsoft’s overall business relationships with the worldwide communications sector industry, which encompasses Microsoft’s activities with network service providers in the wireless, wire-line, hosting and cable arena as well as media and entertainment.
